Dear Parents/Whānau,
EmployNZ is still open for business as usual. We continue to monitor any developments regarding Covid-19 and are closely watching for any Government updates to inform how we should operate in the interest of the safety of all students, staff, and whanau. We will keep you posted should there be any changes.
EmployNZ is incredibly mindful of the health and safety of our students, clients, staff, and community and as such will be updating you and your learners of any day to day schedule changes as the Covid19 situation evolves. The Ministry of Health has been working through its pandemic plan and has implemented a range of measures to minimise the impact of Covid19 on New Zealanders.
As you will all be aware New Zealand has actioned its national pandemic plan which is currently at the ‘keep it out’ phase. With these recent measures in place from the government, it is vital to adhere to the following recommendations.
- As at 1 am March 16, all travelers coming from all parts of the world, except parts of the Pacific (all Pacific Islands Forum members (except French Polynesia) Associate Member Tokelau, Observer Wallis, and Futuna), as well as mainland China and Iran, will be expected to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival in New Zealand.
- All students who have been in contact with someone returning to New Zealand after 1am, 16 March will need to stay at home and self-isolate.
- We ask that all students who are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms such as coughing, head colds or temperatures stay away from campus until better.
The health of our people is our priority and EmployNZ has its own pandemic plan ready to be implemented. In the meantime, we will continue to focus on good hygiene practices and hand washing as recommended by the Ministry of Health.
We will keep you updated on any further progress or changes to your student’s schedules.
Kind Regards,
EmployNZ Management and Team
