Workplace Literacy Programmes
Employer-Led programmes are fully funded and customised for your workplace, your employees and delivered on your behalf.Workplace Literacy Programmes
EmployNZ offers fully funded Workplace Literacy Programmes, designed to meet the needs of the Employers we partner with, and to support the development of the workplace literacies. The aim of the programmes is to work alongside employees providing opportunities to actively participate in their role and interact with others to further develop the skills they need to meet the demands of your workplace.
The range of workplace activities and skills embedded into the programme are designed to provide a range of opportunities and benefits for workplace environment, business and individual participants. As with all workplace training, you will also be able to use the opportunity to identify and develop plans to invest in the upcoming leaders for your business.
EmployNZ serves as a partner, collaborating with you and providing you with our specialist staff to work on your behalf to develop a customised programme. The sessions are focused on your workplace documentation and procedures, and we provide the ongoing support to your employees during the programme.
Together, our specialist tutors and your team can support a culture of continuous learning and skills development that focuses on developing core literacy competencies, building confidence and improving workplace communication.
How it works
Workplace Literacy Programmes are fully funded* by the NZ government through the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and offer a unique opportunity for workplaces to enhance the skills of their workforce at no cost for the training sessions, for your workplace or your employees.
An Employer Led workplace literacy programme needs to be developed for 20 or more employees and is then put forward by an Employer to the TEC for funding approval. This may include a proposal for several small groups at different times during the year if required to make sure the workplace can release the employees from their work comittments for the training sessions.
EmployNZ partners with the Employer through a Service Level Agreement (SLA). The SLA is designed to meet the TEC requirements so that EmployNZ can be your contracted third party to design, complete the funding application and deliver the proposed programme. We will work on your behalf through all of steps of the process from the initial discussions through to graduation.
*Learner Eligibility Applies.(We will discuss this with you.)
What can a Workplace Literacy Programme look like?
Most programmes are delivered in training sessions of 2 hours a week, scheduled between 20 – 40 weeks, depending on the purpose of the programme.
Our tutors will come to your premise to deliver the sessions.
