EmployNZ is one of many providers in New Zealand that have partnered with Youth Guarantees to offer courses designed for Vocational Pathways.

Service Industries Vocational Pathways

If you’re a people person, this could be the Pathway for you. This diverse industry employs a third of Aotearoa New Zealand’s workforce.

Workplace Skills – NCEA Level 2

Gain practical skills for reception, customer service or business admin roles while working towards your NZ Cert Level 2. Learn the professional standards and practical skills that will help you to understand how workplace offices and receptions function.

Hospitality Skills – NCEA Level 2

Gain skills for retail, tourism, or customer service in the hospitality industry while working towards your NCEA Level 2. This course also leads into a NZ Certificate in Food & Beverage Service – Level 3.

Cookery – NCEA Level 2

Gain cooking and service skills while working towards your NCEA Level 2. Learn the essential cooking and service skills that you’ll need to work in a commercial cooking environment.

CareerFit Sport & Fitness – NCEA Level 2

Energise your learning and super-charge your employment prospects while working towards your NCEA Level 2. Set yourself up for jobs that have an aspect of physical fitness such as the Health & Fitness Industry, Emergency Services, Defense Forces, etc.

Creative Industries Vocational Pathways

If you’re the creative, artistic or sporty type, or have an interest in culture, recreation or digital technology, this could be the Pathway for you.

Creative Tech – NCEA Level 2

Our Creative Tech course is designed to help you start building your creative portfolio by giving you the confidence to work with creative software to generate, refine, and publish your ideas using digital media.

Construction and Infrastructure Vocational Pathways

If you like working with others and learning by doing stuff yourself, then construction and infrastructure might be perfect for you.

Building and Construction – NCEA Level 2

Gain construction skills while working towards your NCEA Level 2. Our construction course is ideal for anyone who loves working with wood, building and using tools. This course is a great pathway into a building apprenticeship.

Manufacturing and Technology Vocational Pathways

If you like making things work, this may be the Pathway for you. This Pathway includes the manufacturing, engineering, and logistics sectors.

Automotive Trades – NCEA Level 2

Gain automotive mechanic skills while working towards your NCEA Level 2. If you want to know how things work, and are passionate about fixing cars and keeping them running, our Auto Trades Programme is ideal for you. Learn practical skills and use industry standard tools.

Social and Community Services Vocational Pathways

If you love people, this Pathway could be for you. Careers in this Pathway are all about supporting the community and caring for people in need.

Early Childhood Education – NCEA Level 2

Gain early childhood education skills while working towards your NZ Cert Level 2. If you love interacting with children, are energetic and enthusiastic and have plenty of common sense this is the course for you!
